Privacy Policy

We follow the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA). We collect only what's needed to run the marketplace and never sell your data.

What we collect and why

• Account: email and password (or Google sign-in) — to log you in.
• Orders: name, phone, delivery address and city — to deliver your item and handle disputes.
• Sellers: store name, city, optional phone number, bank details for payouts, and optional ID + selfie for verification.
• Messages, offers, reviews and reports you send on Goodbuy.

We do not use advertising trackers or analytics cookies.

Who we share it with

• The other party in your order (delivery details to the seller).
• Paystack — to process payments, refunds and payouts. We never see your card number.
• Termii — to send phone verification codes.
• Google — only if you choose Google sign-in.
• Our hosting provider, and authorities when the law requires it.

How long we keep it

While your account is active, and order records for up to 6 years for tax and dispute reasons. ID documents are kept only as long as needed to verify you.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, delete or get a copy of your data, object to processing, or withdraw consent. Contact us below. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission (NDPC).

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, ID documents and dispute photos are stored privately, and access is limited to people who need it.
